 40-Hr Advanced Fingerprint Science Workshop

for 10-Print Examiners

We are pleased to announce that this year’s conference will include the “Advanced Fingerprint Science for 10-Print Examiner’s” workshop.

This 4-hour workshop will take an in depth look at the advanced aspects of 10-print examination.  We will take an adventure into the history of fingerprints, how to handle scars/amps/intentional mutilations and recording neat and legible major case/elimination prints. What is ACE-V and what relevance does it have to the science of fingerprints? How does the advent of computers and the explosion of technology affect 10-print examiners? How should you prepare for court and what should you expect? The workshop will answer these important questions with relevancy to 10-print examination. This workshop will also present an overview of the 10-print certification process. The workshop will be limited to (25) students. A certificate of training will be issued to students upon completion of the workshop. This workshop will provide for 40 hours of continuing education credit required for I.A.I. certification and recertification.

The workshop is structured for individuals who have completed a Basic Fingerprint Science training program or those who are currently employed as a 10-Print Examiner.

There is a workshop fee of $50 in addition to the conference registration to attend this course. Pre-registration is required prior to the conference. You can download a registration form below.
