LATENT PRINT EXAMINER - #10026345

BAE Systems 

The BAE Systems Joint Expeditionary Forensics Program is seeking a qualified applicant to come aboard as an experienced Latent Print Examiner to perform specialized technical work in the field of latent print examination in deployed forensic facilities in Iraq and Afghanistan. Responsibilities include processing porous and non-porous items in order to develop latent print impressions; performing comparison of latent print impressions to known standards requiring the highest skill level; reviewing the work performed by lower level latent print examiners and other laboratory personnel; preparing reports detailing the results of examinations conducted; utilizing software applications for the processing of digital images

During time of deployment, substantial amounts of additional compensation will be added to base salary, and lodging and food will be provided. Please inquire for additional details.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree coupled with at least 4 years of experience; an Associate's degree coupled with 6 years of related experience; or a high school diploma coupled with 8 years of related experience.
- A minimum of 2 years experience must be in a law enforcement or forensic environment processing and comparing latent prints
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance
- Eligible for Latent Print Examiner Certification by the International Association for Identification (IAI) or other comparable certification level
- Able to deploy overseas for 6 month to 1 year rotations
- Meet contractual requirements associated with the Minimal Standard of Fitness for Deployment

- Experience utilizing imaging software to process digital images of latent print impressions
- Supervisory and/or training experience
