The Citrus County
Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full-time Crime Scene
Specialist. Qualified candidate may be civilian or sworn depending on
previous experience. Ideal candidate will have a degree or experience
working in the forensics field investigating crime scenes by means of
photography, documentation, and collection of evidence. Duties include
gathering and processing evidence, maintaining records for storage and
disposition, testifying in court and other related duties. Applicant
must be experienced in fingerprint identification or willing to receive
training in fingerprint identification.
Sworn candidates must
have current Florida Certification and meet all physical fitness
standards. All candidates must have a minimum of High school diploma or
G.E.D., a valid Florida driver's license, and computer skills.
